Strasbourg on the water
With its 230 bridges and its city center bordered by the Ill River, Strasbourg is a city to be experienced and discovered along the water. Take a guided boat tour, rent a boat without a license or stroll along the quays: there are many ways to admire the historic buildings of the old town or visit the European Quarter.
A cruise with Batorama
Embark on an original tour of the city with Batorama. On board its open-air or air-conditioned boats, the company takes you on a tour of 20 centuries of the city’s history, with audio guides available in 12 languages. Various tours are available to explore the city’s main districts. The longest, lasting 1 hour 10 minutes, takes you to the European Quarter, where you can learn more about the Parliament and the Council of Europe. An experience not to be missed on a first visit to Strasbourg, to share with family and friends!
Adventure with Marin d’Eau Douce
Head for the nautical base in the heart of the city, next to the Petite France district. Marin d’Eau Douce offers electric boat rentals without a license, so you can cruise through the city and its surroundings. Various itineraries are available, lasting from one to six hours, with the option of taking along cold drinks and sharing snacks.
A stroll along the quays
Take a stroll down to the waterfront from Église Saint-Paul, along the quays to the city center, and admire the historic buildings at your own pace. There are plenty of benches all along the way, inviting you to take a break by the water. We recommend you visit in the early evening to watch the sun set from the quayside.
