Heritage preservation
Once a 19th-century bourgeois residence, the Régent Contades is now an intimate hotel in the heart of the historic neighbourhood.
We wanted to preserve and enhance this neo-classical architectural gem. Its Vosges pink sandstone facade reveals all its beauty, both in daylight and at dusk… Le Régent Contades takes you on a timeless journey.
Nestled along the Ill River in Strasbourg’s historic UNESCO World Heritage district, this hotel invites you to appreciate and relish the “Art de recevoir à la Française”.
Energies management
In order to reducing our energies expenses, we have implemented several actions. Most of the hotel is lit by energy-saving LED bulbs. In the near future, we hope to achieve 100% LED lighting.
We have also equipped the hotel’s common areas with presence detectors. On a day-to-day basis, our teams are adopting responsible digital practices, in particular to reduce printing.
Our actions were also focused on saving water. To this end, water-saving devices have been installed on all the hotel’s taps and showers. Moreover, the vast majority of our toilets are equipped with volumetric flush systems. We believe that every little action counts, and we are proud to contribute to the preservation of this essential resource for future generations.
Recycling and sustainable purchasing
Waste management is a priority for us. We have introduced a policy of waste reduction and sorting at breakfast, and work with the Sikle company to responsibly process our bio-waste. This initiative aims to recycle organic waste by transforming it into useful resources for our ecosystem.
We use Vapodil and eco-labelled cleaning products for hotel maintenance, helping to preserve our precious natural resources.
Our environmental concerns are integrated into our purchasing policy: we take care to favor products that respect the planet. For example, we use recycled paper for our advertising support and our quilt are made from natural fibers, offering our guests cosy comfort while respecting the environment.

We encourage our customers to participate in our initiative to reduce water consumption by minimizing the change of clean linen, including towels and sheets. This small action has a significant impact on our environmental footprint.
We also want to nurture your experience by informing you about activities and discovering Alsace. In partnership with local players such as Batorama and Strasbourg’s municipal baths, we offer you the chance to discover the region’s culture and heritage.
