The metal horse of the Olympic Games comes to Strasbourg
Designed for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Zeus embodies power, majesty and the spirit of competition. Made entirely of metal, this colossal horse impresses as much by its size as by the finesse of its mechanical details. It evokes both the divine horses of Greek legend and the technological advances of our time.
Its visit to Strasbourg marks one of the stops on its national tour, designed to bring the Olympic spirit closer to citizens through art and culture. The choice of the Palais Rohan, a landmark of Strasbourg’s heritage, offers a striking contrast between the classical architecture and the raw modernity of the sculpture.
Admission to admire Zeus is free, and events surrounding the work are planned, including guided tours and educational workshops for younger visitors.
